By accessing and using the Campus Deals mobile application and related services, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Campus Deals. Your use of our services indicates your acceptance of these terms.

To use our services, you must:

• Be at least 12 years of age

• Be a current student, faculty member, or staff member of a recognized educational institution

• Provide accurate and complete information during registration

• Maintain the security of your account credentials

• Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account

We reserve the right to verify your student status and may request additional documentation to confirm your eligibility. Providing false information may result in immediate account termination.

Campus Deals is a peer-to-peer marketplace platform that facilitates:

• Buying and selling of products and services within campus communities

• Secure payment processing and escrow services

• Communication between buyers and sellers

• Delivery coordination and tracking

• Community features including chat and reviews

We act as an intermediary platform and do not own, sell, or guarantee the quality of items listed by users.

As a user of our platform, you agree to:

• Use the service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms

• Provide accurate and truthful information in all listings and communications

• Respect other users and maintain professional communication

• Not engage in fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal activities

• Not list prohibited items (weapons, drugs, stolen goods, etc.)

• Not spam, harass, or abuse other users

• Not attempt to circumvent our payment or security systems

• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

Violation of these rules may result in account suspension or termination.

Buying Process:

• Browse available items and services on the platform

• Contact sellers through our messaging system

• Make payments through our secure payment system

• Arrange for pickup or delivery of purchased items

• Leave reviews and ratings for completed transactions

Selling Process:

• Create accurate and detailed listings with clear photos

• Respond promptly to buyer inquiries

• Process orders and arrange for item delivery or pickup

• Maintain item quality as described in listings

• Handle returns and refunds according to our policies

Payment Processing:

• All transactions are processed through our partner, Paystack

• We support various payment methods including cards, bank transfers, and digital wallets

• Payments are held in escrow until transaction completion

• We charge transaction fees as disclosed at the time of purchase

Fees and Commissions:

• Platform fees are clearly displayed before transaction completion

• Platform commission: 2.5% of transaction value for new products and 5% for used products

• Withdrawal fees for bank transfers

• Sellers are responsible for applicable taxes on their sales

• Refund processing may incur additional fees

Content Ownership:

• You retain ownership of content you create and upload to our platform

• By using our services, you grant us a license to use your content for platform operations

• You may not use our trademarks, logos, or branding without permission

• Respect the intellectual property rights of others

Platform Content:

• Our platform design, features, and functionality are protected by intellectual property laws

• You may not copy, modify, or distribute our platform content

• User-generated content must not infringe on third-party rights

Liability Limitations:

• Campus Deals acts as a platform intermediary and is not responsible for user transactions

• We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of items listed by users

• Our liability is limited to the amount of fees we have collected from you

• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Termination by You:

• You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings

• Account termination does not affect completed transactions

• You remain responsible for any outstanding obligations

Termination by Us:

• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms

• We may terminate accounts for fraudulent or illegal activity

• We will provide notice of termination when possible

• Terminated users may not create new accounts without permission

The following items and activities are strictly prohibited on our platform:

• Illegal items (drugs, weapons, stolen goods)

• Adult content or services

• Counterfeit or replica items

• Items that violate intellectual property rights

• Services that promote illegal activities

• Academic dishonesty services (essay writing, exam cheating)

• Items that pose safety risks to users

• Any items prohibited by applicable laws or university policies

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our platform. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to be valid and enforceable.
